This is the most extensive list of songs about Texas on the internet.
After living in Austin for seven years, the one thing I miss most is the music. While travelling for work, I would often list the Texas cities that were referred to in songs. That developed into this list.
Songs that list Texas cities in passing, such as "I've Been Everywhere" by Hank Snow, are not included.
Some of the songs and artists are linked to lyric pages. I'll add more links as I have time. An * means that I've confirmed that the song was written by the person who is listed as recording it. With most songs that have been recorded by several artists, I've listed the composer if he or she also recorded it.
